Dwadash Madhav is the spiritual identity in Kumbh city Prayagraj. Among these twelve Madhavs, one Shri Veni Madhav is recognized as the city deity of Prayag. To establish this identity, Dwadash Madhav Parikrama was started from Devotthan Ekadashi. It started from the mythological temple of Anant Madhav in Prayagraj in which heads of various Madhavs and saints of Akharas participated.

Mahant Adityanand of Shri Anant Madhav says that “This Parikrama Yatra which started from Shri Anant Madhav, there are different Madhavs, will conclude in Shri Chakra Madhav Arail. During this five-day yatra, rituals and aarti will be organized in all the temples of Dwadash Madhav. Participated in the Parikrama Yatra”.

Public support received for rejuvenation of Dwadash Madhav temples

Apart from the Kumbh area, the center of attraction for the devotees coming to Maha Kumbh are the ancient temples of Prayagraj which have mythological beliefs associated with them. In this group of temples, the Dwadash Madhav temple group is the first, whose rejuvenation work is being done by the Yogi government while preserving its original structure.

These ancient mythological temples are being given a new look at a total cost of Rs 12.34 crore. Due to which it will become a center of attraction for devotees and tourists. Dwadash Madhav Parikrama Yatra will become a medium to reconnect these mythological temples with the public mind. Mahant Awadhesh Das Ji Maharaj, head of Shri Chakra Madhav, says that the Yogi government has integrated the neglected mythological heritages afresh.
