In a candid conversation about PR in Bollywood, Arjun Kapoor recently shared his thoughts on how the industry’s approach to PR has evolved. With his latest film Singham Again making waves at the box office, Arjun reflected on the growing significance of staying connected with audiences, especially in today’s fast-paced digital age.

Arjun explained that while the attention span of today’s audience has drastically decreased, PR plays an integral role in making sure people remember you and your work. “I feel like an old man saying this, but it’s important. People have a lot going on, and it’s easy for them to forget about a film unless they’re reminded,” Arjun said. He further elaborated on the nature of social media and its influence, saying that trends are constantly changing, and it’s necessary to ensure that people are aware of your latest work.

While discussing how to maintain relevance, Arjun touched on the personal connection that comes with PR, pointing out that it’s not just about promoting a film, but about creating an emotional bond with the audience. He shared, “Your personality has become interlinked with how much reaction or connection you get with the audience.”

According to Arjun, Ranbir Kapoor excels in managing his public image without the need for overt PR stunts. “I think there’s an anomaly to that, and that’s Ranbir (Kapoor). He does it really well. He’s someone who doesn’t overtly engage,” Arjun said, acknowledging that Ranbir’s subtle approach has allowed him to maintain a strong fan following without much effort. Arjun then called himself a “newcomer” to the PR game.
