In an encounter that took place in the early hours of Friday in the Sirsaganj police station area of Firozabad, a criminal carrying a reward of Rs 50,000, Kuldeep alias Kashmira, was injured after being shot by the police. Giving information about the incident, SP Rural Akhilesh Bhadoria said that at around 5 am on Friday, the police received information from the informer that Kuldeep was present near Surajpur Canal. The police immediately tried to surround him, but as soon as he was signaled to stop, he started running away. When the police team chased him, his bike went out of control and he fell.
After falling, the miscreant fired at the police team, after which the police also retaliated. The miscreant was injured by police bullets. During the search, the police recovered an illegal pistol, cartridges and a stolen bike from the accused.
SP Rural said that the police was trying for a long time to catch the accused, but he always managed to dodge the police. Today, on the information of informer, a siege was conducted and he was caught.
The injured criminal has been sent to the hospital for treatment, where his condition is said to be stable. The police are now interrogating the accused in other cases.
