A grand Kalash Yatra was taken out for the consecration of Amreshwar Nath Mahadev Temple in Mathiya village of Asan, Ballia. A grand procession with thousands of men and women devotees along with elephants, horses and band instruments came back to the temple premises after filling with water and concluded.

251 girls and women were given yellow clothes and an urn containing coconut. After this, Kalash Yatra was taken out under the leadership of Santosh Giri of All India Kinnar Mahasangh, Kolkata. After this, life was consecrated in Amreshwar Mahadev Temple with full rituals.
Actually, Santosh Giri of All India Kinnar Mahasangh, Kolkata, originally a resident of Mathiya village of Asan in Ballia district. Those who have come to the village of their ancestors after years and built a temple in the name of their village and installed the idol of Lord Shankar and got it consecrated. Santosh Giri told that earlier there was a small temple here. Which was renovated and the consecration of Lord Bholanath family and Ram Darbar is being done.
Said that many Acharyas have come up with the name of the temple together. Since the name of our village is Asan. Which starts with “A”. Therefore the temple was named Amreshwar Nath Mahadev Temple. Said village people are working as free volunteers. Which is commendable. Said that there is a plan to build a Dharamshala and a pond here.
