The International Cricket Council (ICC) has taken disciplinary action against South African fast bowler Gerald Coetzee. His match fee has been reduced by 50%, while one demerit point has also been given.
24-year-old Cootzie had expressed his displeasure over an umpire’s decision during the fourth T20 against India in Johannesburg on Friday, November 15. Because, in the 15th over of the Indian innings, the field umpire had declared his ball wide.
Apart from Coetzee, the ICC has also fined Netherlands captain Scott Edwards and Oman fast bowler Sufyan Mahmood.

The referee also reprimanded After the incident, Cootzie admitted his mistake to the match referee and also accepted the punishment. In this he has also received official reprimand. The Indian team won the match by 135 runs and won 3-1 in the 4-match T-30 series.
