On receiving information that Pankaj Tiwari was shot late on Saturday night, the police admitted him to 50 Saiya Hospital, from where he was referred to Kanpur in a critical condition. Pankaj died during treatment on Sunday. There was chaos in the village as soon as the news of death was heard.

Family members made serious allegations against the nominees

The family members of the deceased allege that the named accused Dhiru Awasthi, Umesh Awasthi, and Krishna used to continuously threaten and harass Pankaj. Family members said that they complained to the police several times, but no concrete action was taken.

When Pankaj’s body reached the village after his death, the family members demanded to call the SP to the spot. He refused to cremate the body. Later, after police intervention and assurance of safety, the family got ready for the last rites.
