The incident of sudden firing from the rifle of a bank guard in Bareilly on Thursday created a stir in the city. This incident happened near Yes Bank ATM in Civil Lines area. There was a huge crowd of customers in the bank at the time of the incident. Fortunately, no one was injured in this accident.

The incident occurred while inserting cash in the ATM. The incident occurred when the bank guard was in the process of inserting cash in the ATM. According to local people, the guard was handling his rifle while getting down from the vehicle, when the trigger was accidentally pressed and the bullet was fired. The bullet hit the Wagon R car parked nearby, which frightened the people present there.

There was chaos after the gunshot. As soon as the sound of gunshot was heard, there was a stampede in the bank and ATM premises. People started running here and there in fear. Although there was no loss of life in the incident, the atmosphere around the bank became tense.

Police started the investigation process

As soon as the information was received, Kotwali police station reached the spot with the police force. Kotwal Dinesh Sharma said that initial investigation has revealed that the bullet was accidentally fired while the guard was handling the rifle. Police have seized the CCTV footage installed in the bank and ATM. Along with this, every aspect of the incident is being investigated in depth.

According to bank employees, the guard was on duty and the accident occurred while handling the rifle. No major action has been taken so far against the guard, but if negligence is proved, appropriate steps will be taken.
