The DUSU results, originally scheduled to be announced on September 28, a day after the elections, were delayed due to a Delhi High Court order.
National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) candidate Rounak Khatri won the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) President election as the counting was held for the DUSU polls on Monday. Khatri defeated Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) presidential candidate Rishabh Chaudhary by over 1300 votes.
Meanwhile, the ABVP’s Bhanu Pratap Singh bagged the post of DUSU Vice President.
NSUI, the student wing of the Indian National Congress (INC) also bagged the post of Joint Secretary while the RSS-backed ABVP retained the Secretary’s post.
