The court of ADJ-13 found the young man who raped a class 7 student guilty and sentenced him to 7 years imprisonment. The accused youth had taken the girl with him to Delhi on the pretext that she was injured, where he held her hostage for several days and raped her.

The victim’s father, originally a resident of Hamirpur, told that he used to work as a laborer by taking a rented house in Barra police station area. Santosh, a resident of Hamirpur, Silosar, also lived at some distance from his house. Since he belonged to a nearby village, he had to go home frequently.
Neighbors informed about taking away the daughter
According to the victim, he had gone from work on February 5, 2014, and his minor daughter was present in the house. Meanwhile, Santosh coaxed the daughter away from the house. On returning, the neighbors told that Santosh took the daughter away saying that she was injured. Even after a lot of searching, nothing was found about the daughter.
Made me unconscious by making me drink tea
During the search, he got information about the daughter being in Delhi, after which the victim’s father brought the daughter. The girl told that Santosh had taken her away from home saying that she was injured and while giving her tea on the way, she became unconscious. When I regained consciousness, I found myself in the room.
The prosecution presented 6 witnesses
The victim had lodged a report against Santosh in Barra police station under rape, POCSO Act and other sections. The case was pending in the court of ADJ-13 Surendra Pal Singh. Special Public Prosecutor Chandrakant Sharma said that 6 witnesses were presented in the court by the prosecution in the case. The court found accused Santosh guilty and sentenced him to 7 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 7,000.
