10-year-old Sahajan, a resident of Thariya village of Mirzapur police station area, had gone with his family and relatives to attend a wedding ceremony in Lakhimpur district. From there, 9 people were returning home in a car. The driver lost control of the car and the car went out of control and collided with a tree. After that the car fell into a drain.
Everyone got trapped in the car in the accident. On receiving information about the accident, Roza police station reached the spot. Everyone trapped in the car was taken out. Meanwhile, Sahajan died on the spot. While the police have admitted 8 injured people to the Government Medical College for treatment.
The police have filled the Panchnama of Sahajan’s body and sent it for postmortem. On receiving information about the accident, the family members also reached the spot. Treatment of injured Faizan, Muskaan, Kulsoom, Shama Praveen, Armaan, Ahsan and Khushnuma has been started.
Police station in-charge Rajeev Ranjan said that the car went out of control and hit a tree. Everyone was returning home after attending a wedding. One child has died in the accident while others are injured. The injured are undergoing treatment. Further action will be taken after receiving the complaint from the victims.
