Tabu Announces Her Much-Awaited Appearance As Sister Francesca In Dune: Prophecy – News18

Tabu has long established herself as a powerhouse in the Indian entertainment industry, and now she’s poised to make waves internationally. Her latest Hollywood project is the high-budget HBO series Dune: Prophecy, where she plays the role of Sister Francesca. The show, which premiered a week ago to largely positive reviews, did not feature Tabu in the first episode. However, the star has now revealed when fans can expect to see her in action.
Tabu has shared a new look as Sister Francesca and revealed that her much-awaited episode will air on December 16 in India. In her Instagram post, she wrote, “Prepare for a new Sister to show her strength. The #DuneProphecy episode featuring Tabu premieres December 15 on Max and December 16 in India on Jio Cinema.” The official Dune: Prophecy account also chimed in with a comment, saying, “Your potential in the Order is endless.”
Among the many reactions, comedian Zakir Khan praised Tabu by calling her the “Goddess.” Actress Urvashi Rautela also shared her excitement, saying, “Woahh liveee n lovee u Tabu man…Only gonna watch it for youuu.” Meanwhile, Huma Qureshi expressed her admiration by posting several heart emojis.
Fans were equally excited, eagerly discussing Tabu’s appearance in Dune: Prophecy and anticipating the episode where they would finally see her in action. One of them said, “I can’t wait to whistle when you make your grand entry as Sister Francesca.” Another added, “This frame screams power,” highlighting the commanding presence Tabu brings to her role.
Dune: Prophecy, which premiered in India on November 18, will consist of seven episodes, with the finale set to air on December 30. Co-produced by HBO and Legendary Television, the series is helmed by showrunner and executive producer Alison Schapker, with Diane Ademu-John also making significant contributions as an executive producer. Alongside Tabu, who portrays Sister Francesca, the star-studded cast includes Emily Watson, Jessica Barden, Chloe Lea, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Olivia Williams, Jodhi May, Mark Strong and Jade Anouka.
Dune: Prophecy, set 10,000 years before Paul Atreides’ rise to power, follows two Harkonnen sisters as they face forces that threaten humanity’s future while also laying the foundation for the legendary Bene Gesserit sect.
Meanwhile, Tabu was seen in the film Crew alongside Kareena Kapoor and Kriti Sanon this year. She was also part of Ajay Devgn’s Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha.
