The story took a turn when her brother-in-law’s son, Subhash Bisen, learnt about Devkan Bai’s passing.
We all have come across different kinds of cremation happening. Have you ever come across the body that was carried to the police station rather than the ghat, even though the bier is typically taken straight to the crematorium when it is ready? Reading or seeing something like that is odd. Recently, the city of Balaghat in Katangi witnessed a similar situation. A woman passed away on the evening of November 28. The body was ready and on its way to the Crematory when the police arrived and took it into custody. The body was then sent for a post-mortem. Let’s know the reason behind it.
As per the Local 18 report, the body was sent into police custody just because of a will. Devkan Bai Bisen, 82, owns roughly 18 acres of land and a residence in Balaghat. Before she passed away, she had written a will. The will stated that her property would belong to the person who would care for her in her later years. In this case, Devkan Bai was looked after in Balaghat by her sister’s son, OP Thakur. For three years, Devkan lived with OP Thakur. After which at 10 p.m. on November 28, she passed away.
The story took a turn when her brother-in-law’s son, Subhash Bisen, learnt about Devkan Bai’s passing. Subhash Bisen began to suspect the death of his older mother. He suspected it to be a murder. He also submitted an FIR. Following this, the police officers acted quickly and seized the body they had found.
The charge of the Katangi police station Gehlod Semliya provided details on this case, stating that the deceased woman’s brother-in-law’s son had raised suspicions of murder. The body was placed under arrest and submitted for a post-mortem in such a case. Now, something is being done. As of now, there is no further evidence or updates on it.
This kind of case is very common in villages of every state. It is sometimes difficult to understand the family members and their intentions when it comes to taking the property. Due to this lot of elder people write and draft a will in someone’s name so that there won’t be any such disagreement among family members.
