There was a discussion in front of CM regarding changing the name. CM Yogi Adityanath, who arrived in Prayagraj on November 27 to review the Mahakumbh works, had inaugurated the Solid Waste Disposal Control Room and the Public Grievance System App of the Smart City in the control room of the corporation premises. During this time too, while discussing the old pass proposal, some people had discussed about naming Rasulabad Ghat after immortal martyr Chandrashekhar Azad. After this, the corporation administration also woke up from its sleep and on Saturday hurriedly issued an order to change the name of the ghat and name it after Chandrashekhar Azad. The city mayor had also instructed the municipal commissioner in this regard.

The proposal was passed by the House in 1991 A resolution was passed in the House meeting in 1991 to change the name of Rasulabad Ghat located in Teliarganj. In which a proposal was passed to name Rasulabad Ghat after immortal martyr Chandrashekhar Azad. Since then the matter was stuck. Suddenly, after the proposal was discussed in front of the Chief Minister, the corporation administration also came into action. Without any delay, the Mayor also issued an order to change the name. After which the order was issued by the corporation on Saturday. However, Mayor Ganesh Kesarwani said that soon a stone slab will be installed and its unveiling will be ensured.
