Nahid Rana puts West Indies on the backfoot: lead by 211 runs on the third day of the Kingston Test; Shadman-Mehdi missed fifty

Due to the accurate bowling of fast bowler Nahid Rana (5 wickets), Bangladesh has pushed West Indies on the backfoot in Kingston. Till stumps on the third day of the match on Monday, Bangladesh team has scored 193 runs for 5 wickets in the second innings. Zaker Ali is unbeaten on the score of 29 and Taijul Islam on 9 runs.

After scoring 164 runs in the first innings, Bangladesh team all out West Indies for 146 runs and took a lead of 18 runs. At present, the team’s total lead is 211 runs.

First wicket lost at zero, Shadman-Mehdi missed fifty Bangladesh had a bad start in the second innings. The team lost the first wicket on the score of zero. When Joyden Sills got Mahmudullah Hasan Joy caught at slip by Ethnos on the 5th ball of the first over. In such a situation, Shadman Islam took the innings forward with Shahadat Hussain, but he was out on 46 runs. Captain Mehdi Hasan Miraj contributed 42 runs.

Shamar Joseph took two wickets for West Indies. Joyden Sills, Alzarri Joseph and Justin Graves took one wicket each.

West Indies out for 146 runs, Casey Curty scored 40 runs West Indies were all out for just 146 runs in the first innings. Apart from the top-3, no bowler of the team could cross the double figures. Opener Craig Brathwaite scored 39, Mike Lewis scored 12 and Casey Curty scored 40 runs.

Apart from Nahid Rana, Hasan Mahmood took 2 wickets. Taskin Ahmed, Taijul Islam and Mehdi Hasan Miraj took one wicket each.
