On the eve of Ram Vivah, Sita ji’s Matkod etc. rituals were celebrated in grand style at Acharya Peeth Laxman Fort for the devotional worship of Shri Ram.

The marriage of Lord Shri Ram and Sita will take place in Ayodhya on 6th December, the fifth day of Agahan Shukla Paksha. For this, the festival is going on for four days. Today, in the 12 temples of Ayodhya, along with elephants, horses and carts, Shehnai will resonate amidst the tunes of bands from many provinces.

Will be welcomed with aarti and flower shower Immersed in this joy, Ram Baraat will come out from temples like Dashrath Mahal, Kanak Bhawan, Rang Mahal, Janaki Mahal Trust and Hanumat Niwas along with Ramharshan Kunj of Ayodhya. The auspicious songs of Meera, couple Priya etc. resonated among the friends who came from Mithila at Acharya Peeth Laxman Fort. This ritual of Haldi and Matkor of Sita ji was celebrated in a very emotional manner. Kishori ji’s feet were worshiped and clothes were distributed among them.

Mahants sang the verses of Ram Vivah Mahant Maithili Raman Sharan of Peeth and Mahant Dr. Mithilesh Nandani Sharan of Siddha Peeth Hanumat Niwas themselves sang the verses related to Ram Vivah of Acharya Swami Yugalananya Sharan of Peeth very passionately. Here on the eve of Ram Vivah, the joy of the festival continued till late night.

Many famous Mahants and singers of Ayodhya along with devotees from many places of the country participated in this event at the fort located on the banks of Saryu.

Marriage is being celebrated in Mithila style. The marriage ceremony is being celebrated in Mithila style at Janaki Mahal Trust. Here Lord Ram is considered as the bridegroom and Kishori ji is considered as the daughter.

Sitaram of Shri Janaki Mahal Trust has come from far and wide to see the wedding ceremony. The marriage festival here is famous. Which is unique in itself.

The Trust has made special jewelery for the bridegroom Sarkar and Kishori ji from Rukman Jewelers of Jaipur. Which will be dedicated to the couple’s government on the wedding celebration. This is approximately 5 kg of gold. Here the wedding guests will be welcomed with the famous chaat of Banaras. People will also enjoy tea toast of Kolkata and milk of Kanpur.

The groom’s side will be led by Murari Lal Aggarwal of Delhi, while the bride’s side Janaki Mahal Trust will serve the groom’s government and the wedding procession. Ram marriage festival in Janakimahal can be understood from the events like Tilak, Mehendi, Binauri, Neg Nyochhaavari, Neg Ghud Chadhi, Baraat Prasthan marriage program and Chhappan Bhog and Kunwar Kaleva on the next day of the marriage festival.
