The morale of criminals is high in Hathras. In broad daylight, miscreants broke the lock of the house of Galla trader Komal Prasad Aggarwal in Hanuman Gali and stole jewelery worth about Rs 18 lakh. At the time of the incident, the family had gone to a wedding ceremony in Raya town of Mathura.

Locks broken, stuff messed up When the family returned home in the evening, the locks were broken and all the things in the house were in disarray. Seeing this, Komal Prasad and his family were shocked. The locks of the cupboard were also broken and all the jewelery kept in it was found missing.

Police investigated on the spot On receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot and started investigation. According to Komal Prasad, the total value of the stolen jewelery is around Rs 18 lakh. Police tried to gather clues with the help of forensic team and dog squad.

There is panic among the people of the area after this incident. Traders have demanded increased security and intensified police patrolling. Police say that the accused will be caught soon.
