In Fatehpur, hundreds of investors, who were defrauded of crores of rupees by chit fund companies, demonstrated at the DM office demanding the return of their money. District President Amrit Lal said that various chit fund companies deposited the money of lakhs of investors and then suddenly ran away. Due to this, the hard earned money of thousands of people was lost. The aggrieved investors have been protesting in the Canal Colony premises for the last 100 days, but no concrete action has been taken till now.

Investors demanded that under the Right to Guarantee of Payment Act (BUDS Act, 2019), the defrauded victims should be paid two to three times their deposit amount. Agents should be given the right to security, respect and employment.

Investors said that it is sad that any public representative is not paying attention to their problem. They are appealing to the government to fulfill their demands and get their hard-earned money back. The DM has assured to send the memorandum forward for appropriate action.
