25 years imprisonment to the accused of raping a girl. 25 years imprisonment to the person convicted of raping a girl: Court imposed a fine of Rs 15,000, decision came in 9 months – Etawah News



In the case of raping a girl in Etawah, the court has sentenced the culprit to 25 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 15,000. Within 6 months the court gave its verdict after the hearing. Special Judge POCSO Act Yajnesh Chandra Pandey sentenced the accused.

Special Public Prosecutor Dashrath Singh Chauhan said that the woman, resident of a village in Sainfai police station area, had gone to her maternal home in a village in Bharthana area with her six-year-old daughter. On the evening of 31 March 2024, when his daughter was playing outside the house. Then Akhilesh Kumar, son of Naveen Kumar, resident of village Malhosi, lured her and took her to the fields.

Where he raped the girl. Later he ran away leaving the girl behind. The girl reached home crying and narrated the entire incident to her mother. On getting information, her mother reached the police station with the girl and informed the police about the incident.

On the basis of the complaint, the police registered a case against Akhilesh under sections of rape and POCSO Act. Later the police arrested the accused Akhilesh and sent him to jail. After investigation, the police presented the chargesheet in the court on 14 April 2024.

On the basis of the evidence and witnesses presented by Special Public Prosecutor Dashrath Singh Chauhan, the court found Akhilesh guilty. After being found guilty, the court sentenced him to 25 years of rigorous imprisonment. Apart from this, the court has also imposed a fine of fifteen thousand rupees on him.
