In Etah, officials have become active to make effective the One Time Settlement Scheme (OTS) being run by the Electricity Department to settle the outstanding bills of the consumers. In a press conference held at Jalesar subdivision office, Subdivision Officer (SDO) Gulshan Kumar announced the plan.

Duration and phased implementation of the scheme
SDO said that this scheme will be applicable from 15 December 2024 to 31 January 2025. This scheme of total 47 days has been divided into three phases. First phase: December 15 to December 31 (16 days), Second phase: January 1 to January 15 (15 days), Third phase: January 16 to January 31 (16 days).
Benefits and rules of the scheme
To avail the benefits of the scheme, consumers have to go to departmental office, public service center, or www.uppcl.org But you will have to register. It is mandatory to deposit 30% of the principal amount of the outstanding bill till 30 September 2024. Late payment surcharge till this period will be waived.
