A father and son riding a bike coming from Auraiya to Kanpur were hit by a trailer coming from behind on Sachendi Highway. Due to the strong collision, the son jumped and fell away, while the father died after being hit by the trailer. The driver fled from the spot after the accident.

Police seized the trailer and sent the body for post-mortem. The injured told that his maternal uncle had died last Sunday, on which both of them were going to his house in Rawatpur.
Shivam, son of the deceased giving information about the accident
Shri Krishna Chandra (62), resident of Vidhichandra Mohalla of Auraiya, lived with three sons Ujjwal, Somendra and Shivam. His brother-in-law Harishankar had died last Sunday. On which he was going to his Rawatpur residence today with his son Shivam.
The driver fled from the spot
Shivam told that he had just reached Chauhan Dhaba located in Sachendi, when the trailer coming from behind hit his bike. Due to the collision, he fell on the other side of the road, while the father got hit by the trailer. Due to which he died on the spot.
After the accident, the driver fled leaving the trailer on the spot. Sachendi police informed the family members and sent the injured for first aid.
