Bahraich District Magistrate Monica Rani conducted a thorough review of the Chief Minister Dashboard and IGRS references in the Collectorate Auditorium. In the meeting, detailed information was taken from all the concerned officers of the district on the redressal of complaints and progress of departmental schemes.

Action on negligence in disposal of complaints During the meeting, the DM made it clear that laxity in resolving complaints will not be tolerated. He also sought details of action taken against officers and employees related to heads of offices with disgruntled reports.

Electrical Department: The Superintending Engineer said that three officers have been given adverse entries. Municipal Council: Clarification has been sought from an officer. Panchayati Raj Department: Clarification is being obtained from 12 responsible officers and employees. Social Welfare Department: Action continues against three personnel. Basic Education Department: Clarification has been sought from 17 employees.

On-site inspection instructions DM Monica Rani directed the officers to personally investigate on the spot to bring transparency in the disposal of complaints. He said that a solution should be ensured by taking information from the complainant and the people nearby.

Video recording mandatory for evidence The DM asked all departments to ensure that adequate evidence of spot visits and hearings is prepared through video and photo recordings.

Emphasis on progress of work plans The District Magistrate directed all departments to regularly review departmental schemes and programs. In case of no improvement in the progress, the concerned officers were warned of punishment by giving adverse entry. Taking a tough stance, the DM said: “Dispose of complaints in such a way that there is no scope for dissatisfaction. If negligence is found, the concerned authorities should be prepared to take strict action.”
