Balrampur Sugar Mill is at the forefront

Balrampur Sugar Mill has so far purchased 33 lakh 46 thousand quintals of sugarcane. Its cost is Rs 1 billion 21 crore 73 lakh. Out of this, payment of Rs 92 crore 80 lakh has been transferred to the bank accounts of the farmers. The mill management has assured that the remaining amount will also be paid on time.

Tulsipur Sugar Mill has purchased 11 lakh quintals of sugarcane, which costs Rs 40 crore 25 lakh. Out of this, Rs 20 crore 52 lakh has been paid. Tulsipur Sugar Mill is also committed to make payment on time.

Bajaj Ita Maida Sugar Mill Payment Nil

Bajaj Ita Maida Sugar Mill has so far purchased 8 lakh 49 thousand quintals of sugarcane. But not a single payment has been made for the current session. There is increasing resentment among the farmers on this.

Sugar mill general manager sugarcane RP Shahi said that Rs 3 crore 85 lakh has been paid for the last session. The current season will be paid for by selling sugar. As per DM’s order, 85% of the amount will be spent on the salaries of farmers and the remaining employees.

Administration sent notice

District Sugarcane Officer Sanjay Kumar says that Balrampur Sugar Mill is making payments on 14 days. But Bajaj is not doing it yet, due to which a notice has been sent to Ita Maida Sugar Mill a week ago.
