Lucknow High Court on Thursday ordered Lucknow Development Authority to take action against illegal construction done in Nehru Enclave located in Vishwas Khand of Gomti Nagar. Along with this, instructions were given to completely investigate the matter and submit the report.

This order has been passed by the division bench of Justice Rajan Roy and Justice BR Singh after hearing the petition filed on behalf of Abhay Mani Tripathi.
Illegal construction was being done in the old building
Advocate Yogesh Somvanshi, appearing on behalf of the petitioner, told the court that the petitioner had purchased V 85 flat in the ventilation block of Nehru Enclave in 2007, Vikas Yadav had recently purchased V 88 above this flat, after which he had purchased the said flat. Started constructing illegal rooms on the roof of a two-storey building.
Through the petition, the court was told that while taking action on the complaint, the illegal construction was sealed, but even after this the opposition completed the illegal construction. After this, LDA issued an order on March 12, 2024 to demolish the said illegal construction, but till date it has not been demolished.
Building may collapse due to illegal construction
The petitioner alleged that no action was being taken due to the influence and pressure of the opposition. The building is quite old. Due to illegal construction, it can collapse at any time, which can cause a major accident.
