The body of a youth from Kurai village of Sandipan Ghat police station area of Kaushambi was found in Fatehpur Ghat village of Puramufti police station area of Prayagraj. The young man has been strangled to death. The victim’s family has alleged that the murder was a dispute over money transactions.

Police started searching for the accused
Gulab Chandra, who lives with his family in Kurai village. He told that his son Arun Kumar had gone to his aunt’s house at Fatehpur Ghat on 18 December. The family says that last night some people caught hold of Arun and beat him up.
Pressured to return the outstanding money. After this the accused, who is a resident of Dhumanganj of Prayagraj. They killed Arun by strangulating him with a towel. Then fled from the spot. Her aunt informed the family about the incident.
The police have taken the body into their custody and sent it for post-mortem. Police station in-charge Manoj Singh said that the reason for the murder will become clear after the post-mortem report and investigation. Legal action will be taken against the accused on the basis of the family’s complaint. Police have started raiding possible locations to search for the accused.
