In Mirzapur, police have arrested two members of a liquor smuggling gang. Liquor worth about Rs 1.5 lakh has been recovered from them. Only Rs 250 in cash was found from him. This liquor was being brought from Uttar Pradesh to Bihar for smuggling. March month

The accused are residents of Bihar
A joint team of police arrested both the accused along with three trolley bags and four pittu bags filled with English liquor. These bags contained 645 tetra packs of English liquor (116.1 litres). Whose price is said to be around Rs 1.5 lakh. The arrested accused Om Kumar and Akash Kumar are residents of Bihar.
The accused told that liquor is not sold in Bihar. Therefore, they buy liquor at cheap prices from Uttar Pradesh and sell it at higher prices in Bihar and earn profits. The police team included Kotwali Katra in-charge Ajit Kumar Singh, SOG in-charge Rajiv Kumar Singh, Sub Inspector Sunil Kumar Mishra and other officers.
