Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli’s health has suddenly deteriorated. He was admitted to Akriti Hospital in Thane.
According to IANS report, the condition of 52 year old Kambli is critical. He was admitted to the hospital on Saturday night. Recently Vinod Kambli was seen in coach Ramakant Achrekar’s program. During this time his video with Sachin Tendulkar went viral.
According to the IANS post, he has been admitted to Aakriti Hospital.

Kambli has had a heart attack After his film career flopped, Kambli also tried his hand in politics. He was a member of Lok Bharti Party. In the 2009 assembly elections, Kambli contested from Vikhroli seat, but he faced disappointment on this front too. Kambli suffered a heart attack a few years ago, since then he has been almost missing from cricket, TV and cinema screens. He had told in an interview given to Rak YouTube channel that Sachin Tendulkar had undergone heart surgery for him.
India performed strongly in the beginning of their career Kambli made his ODI debut for the Indian team in the year 1991. After this, he made his Test debut for Team India in the year 1993. In the beginning he had given a strong performance for Team India. He was the fastest batsman to score 1000 test runs for India. He did this in 14 innings.
Vinod Kambli has scored a total of 1084 runs in 17 Test matches for the Indian team, which includes 4 centuries and three half-centuries. Apart from this, he has scored a total of 2477 runs in 104 ODI matches for Team India, which includes two centuries and 14 half-centuries. His performance in the 2000s was very poor and due to this he was dropped from Team India. He played his last ODI match for Team India in the year 2000 against Sri Lanka.
Debuted together in Kanga League Kambli and Sachin Tendulkar are childhood friends. Both of them made their debut together in Mumbai’s famous Kanga League. Tendulkar-Kambli had made a world record in school. Both of them played a partnership of 664 runs while playing for Shardashram School.
In this partnership, Kambli had scored 349 not out. From here both came into discussion. Tendulkar made his Ranji debut in 1988, while Kambli got this opportunity a year later in 1989.

In reply, the Indian team was in a good position at one time losing one wicket for 98 runs, but after Sachin’s dismissal, the team’s batting order collapsed. Team India had lost 8 wickets for 120 runs.
It was the 35th over and the Indian team needed 132 off 156 balls. Vinod Kambli 10 and Anil Kumble were present at the crease without opening the account. After this the spectators started throwing bottles on the field. A part of the stadium was set on fire. The match was stopped and Sri Lanka was declared the winner. Then while returning from the field, Kambli started crying.

Also worked in some flop films After retiring from cricket in 2000, Kambli turned to films. In 2002, the film ‘Anarth’ starring Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty and Preeti Jhangiani was released. That film, directed by Ravi Dewan, flopped badly. In 2009, Kambli again did a film with the name Pal Pal Dil. The film, directed by VK Kumar, featured Kambli’s former cricketer friends Ajay Jadeja and Mahie Gill, but they too could not win the hearts of the audience.
