England all-rounder Ben Stokes has been away from cricket for three months. This has also been confirmed by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

In the third and final Test against New Zealand in Hamilton, he again suffered a hamstring injury in his left leg. He will undergo surgery in January next year. The injury occurred in August this year Stokes suffered a hamstring injury during The Hundred in August, which forced him to sit out four Tests. After this he made a comeback from the Test against New Zealand this month. He bowled a lot in this series, due to which his injury has recovered again. He bowled 36.2 overs in the third Test match, which is the most he has bowled in a Test match after 2022. England defeated the Kiwi team 2-1 in this series.

Did not get place in Champions Trophy due to injury Due to this injury, Stokes has not been able to get a place in the upcoming Champions Trophy team. Earlier last year, he was suffering from a knee injury, for which he had to undergo surgery and due to this he also missed the flight for the ODI World Cup 2023 played in India. Apart from this, England also had to play many test matches without him.
