A bike rider comes to the petrol pump and fills petrol worth Rs 1000. After some time, the police is informed about the incident that a person filled the fuel from the petrol pump and ran away without paying the bill of Rs 1000. This information reached the police through a BJP leader. After receiving the information, the police took immediate action and started searching for the bike rider.

Police investigation and CCTV footage Police tried to identify the bike rider with the help of CCTV footage of the petrol pump. The footage showed that a person came to the petrol pump on a bike and got the fuel filled, but as soon as it was his turn to pay, he ran away with the bike. The police intensified their action and succeeded in reaching the bike rider after about one and a half hour.

Bike rider’s statement When the police caught the accused bike rider, he told the police that he had filled petrol worth only Rs 50 and not Rs 1000 as informed to the police. The accused also claimed that he had paid Rs 50 through phone-pay at the petrol pump and also showed the screen shot which he had taken on his phone.

wrong information was given The young man told that due to network problem the payment could not be made on time and the payment arrived after some time. The police looked at the screenshot shown by the accused and satisfied themselves as well as the petrol pump owner. The police took a lot of time to verify the statement and screen shots. During the investigation, the police realized that the BJP leader had given wrong information.
