Discussion on cement trade issues at GST headquarters Gomtinagar

The delegation met Commissioner Uttar Pradesh Nitin Bansal at GST Headquarters in Gomtinagar, Lucknow and former Additional Grade One Officer Sanjay Mishra at Trade Tax Office Mirabai Marg and wished them a happy New Year. During this, views were shared on important issues related to cement trade.

The delegation sought cooperation in providing relief from maximum 28% tax on cement and requested to propose it to the GST Council. Also, it was suggested to implement a uniform tax system on the basis of MRP. This will increase the revenue of the government and eliminate the liability of traders.

The delegation also urged to stop the process of repeatedly sending notices to traders. GST Department expressed its gratitude for the cooperation and congratulated the annual celebration of Ramlala Pratishtha on the coming 11th.

The delegation included Shyammurthy Gupta, Manish Modi, Abhishek Mansani, Deepak Singhal and Kuldeep Gupta.
