The accountant has been arrested on the FIR of BDO.

In Hardoi, the police has arrested a senior assistant in a case of tampering in government documents and hiding important papers. This action has been taken on the complaint of Block Development Officer (BDO) Behandar, Kasimpur.

According to the case, Rita (BDO) lodged a complaint at Kasimpur police station on 14 January 2025. He alleged that the then assistant accountant Sushil Kumar and senior assistant Atul Kumar Awasthi did not submit the unresolved audit paragraphs for the financial year 2011-12 to 2018-19 in the office. Not only this, the photocopy of the charge transfer was also not provided.

Taking immediate action on this complaint, the police registered a case number 12/25 under section 316 (4) BNS at Kasimpur police station. On Thursday, the police arrested the accused Atul Kumar Awasthi. Atul Rana is a resident of Benimadhav Marg, Lalganj, Rae Bareli.

Police is investigating the matter The case pertains to obstruction of investigation into financial irregularities by deliberately concealing important documents. The police are now investigating the matter thoroughly and legal action is being taken against the accused. This action reflects the government’s tough stance against administrative corruption.
