Music Director Anoop Seelin Releases Kannada Film Kaalapatthar’s Soundtrack – News18

Kannada film Kaalapatthar, starring actor Vikky Varun, was slated to release in 2022. The film’s release was postponed. When Kaalapatthar will hit the theatres still remains uncertain. But there’s good news for fans. The film’s music composer, Anoop Seelin, has released a music video from the film. This has amped up fans’ excitement for Kaalapatthar further. This music video is titled Sounds of Kaalapatthar. It was unveiled on September 6 on A2 Music’s YouTube channel. The glimpses of Kalapatthar’s songs in this video include Gorukana Gaana, Nanna Vihaara, Kaalapatthar’s title track Maatade Tangaali, and Bandli Stove. Dr V Nagendra Prasad and Pramod Maravante have penned the lyrics for these numbers. Singers Shivani Naveen, Sai Vignesh, Abhishek M R, Siddhartha Belmannu, and Vijay Prakash have sung these compositions. The audio jukebox has received more than 2,00,000 views so far.

Social media users have loved the compositions and wrote that Anoop Seelin is an underrated music director and has come up with unique compositions. Another wrote that he has been a staunch fan of Anoop’s music since the film Sidlingu, written and directed by Vijaya Prasad, was released. Anoop’s music was a big hit in this film and he was nominated for Filmfare Award South under the Best Music Director category. Others commented with heart emoticons and appreciated Anoop for his work.

Actors TS Nagabharana and Dhanya Ramkumar have also acted in Kaalapatthar. According to reports, the title of this movie was earlier registered for a film by late actor Ambareesh. The project couldn’t materialise due to undisclosed reasons. Then this title was used for Vikky Varun’s film.

Vikky has not only acted in Kaalapatthar but is marking his directorial debut with this film. According to reports, makers have wrapped up shooting for a major chunk of the film.

As per reports, Kaalapatthar is based on the life of a hooligan named Kaala Patthar, who was infamous for his notoriety in the 80s and 90s. Vikky told newskarnataka.com in an earlier interview that, “Kaala Patthar is really different from my last two box-office outings.”

Vikky last acted in the film College Kumar, directed by Santhu. It received positive reviews from the audience.
