The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has resealed the post-seat allotment schedule for the mop-up round of the Karnataka National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) UG counselling 2023. Eligible candidates who have been allocated seats can make their fee payments from September 25 to 26 through the official website, kea.kar.nic.in.

The Karnataka NEET UG Counselling 2023 is an online process for securing admissions into various medical courses, including MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, Unani, Homeopathy, and Ayurveda, offered by government and private medical colleges in Karnataka. The counselling procedure encompasses two initial rounds, with a mop-up round organised to fill any remaining vacancies after the second round.

KEA administers the Karnataka NEET 2023 counselling for 85 per cent of state quota seats and 100% of private college seats. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) handles the Karnataka NEET counselling 2023 for 15 per cent of All India Quota seats.

Overall, Karnataka NEET UG Counselling 2023 aims to provide admission to a total of 43,451 seats, with 33,829 seats in the MBBS program and 9,622 seats in medical and dental colleges across the state.

The Karnataka NEET UG counselling 2023 for MBBS admissions follows a four-stage process: registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and reporting. These stages are crucial for all applicants, and here’s a brief overview:

1. Registration: To participate, candidates must register on KEA’s official website. This involves providing personal details, and educational qualifications, and uploading necessary documents. An application ID and password will be sent to the candidate’s registered mobile number.

2. Choice Filling: Candidates will have the opportunity to select their preferred choices for courses and colleges.

3. Seat Allotment: Based on choices and merit, seats will be allocated to candidates.

4. Reporting: After seat allotment, candidates must complete the admission process by verifying documents, paying fees, and confirming their seats.

During the verification process, candidates should have the following documents:

–– Rural study certificate (if claiming rural quota)

–– Kannada medium study certificate (if claiming Kannada medium quota)
