School Timings in Kashmir Changed Due to Fall in Temperature – News18

The Directorate of School Education Kashmir has ordered schools falling under municipal limits of Srinagar district to conduct classes between 10 am and 3 pm

The Kashmir school education authorities have directed institutes to change school timings from today, November 1 due to a fall in temperature. The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has ordered schools falling under municipal limits of Srinagar district to conduct classes between 10 am and 3 pm. Previously, classes in Srinagar would commence from 9 am and go on till 3 pm, reported Hindustan Times.

For schools that do not fall outside the municipal limits of Srinagar and belong to other districts and areas of Kashmir province, their timing to has been revised. Schools in other districts will start classes from 10.30 am and continue till 3.30 pm. This means classes in both government and private schools of Kashmir will also start an hour later than the previous time.

“All the concerned institutions must strictly adhere to the given orders and instructions, and any deviation in this regard will be viewed very seriously,” the director of school education, in Kashmir, stated.
