Kangana Ranaut’s film Tejas proved to be a disaster: Makers suffered a loss of Rs 50 crore; Total earnings remained below Rs 5 crore

Kangana Ranaut’s film Tejas has proved to be a disaster at the box office. The film has earned a total of only Rs 4.25 crore. The film has suffered a huge loss of approximately Rs 50 crore. According to reports, this film of Kangana was made with a total budget of Rs 70 crores.
Its OTT, music and satellite rights have been sold for Rs 17 crore. Distributors have received Rs 2.23 crore from the box office collection. Accordingly, the film has managed to collect only Rs 20 crores.
Kangana’s previous film Dhaakad also suffered losses.
This is a big set back for Kangana Ranaut. He had also appealed to the people to watch his film. Despite this the audience did not show any interest. Same situation happened with his previous film Dhaakad. This film had a loss of Rs 78.72 crore.
Tejas was released on 27 October.
Kangana’s stars are moving in her direction
There was a time when Kangana was giving hit after hit films. He was also receiving National Awards for these films. However, after 2019, none of his films have performed as per expectations. Manikarnika, released in 2019, had definitely collected Rs 92 crore.
Here we are talking about lifetime collection.
Earning of 12th fail is 6 times more than Tejas
The medium budget film 12th Fail, released along with Tejas, has performed brilliantly. Vikrant Massey starrer this film has collected Rs 26.17 crore so far. Both the films Tejas and 12th Fail were released on the same day, although there is a huge difference in the earnings of these two films.
This film has been directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
12th Fail has earned almost 6 times more than Tejas. 12th Fail has performed better than Kangana’s film because of its storyline. People preferred to see better content rather than a big star cast.
