Road will be named after late actor Vikram Gokhale: He was Salman’s guru in ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’, many actors will reach the event

Late actor Vikram Gokhale, who was seen in many films including ‘Hum Dil De Chakwe Sanam’, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’, ‘Dil Se’ and ‘De Dana Dan’, died on 26 November last year. Now on his first death anniversary, a road will be inaugurated in his name in Mumbai.

The event will be held in Mumbai on Sunday 26 November at 11 am, where Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will inaugurate the Natashreshtha Vikram Gokhale Marg.

This route leads from gate number four of Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri West towards Cinta Tower.

Many big actors are included in the guest list
Vikram Gokhale’s wife Vrushali Gokhale, his family members and many politicians will participate in this program. The guest list includes names of many actors from Bollywood including Anupam Kher, Paresh Rawal, Mukesh Rishi, Sachin Khedekar, Rahul Dev, Upasana Singh.

This program will not only be organized to remember the late actor, but will also pay tribute to his work.

Died due to multi organ failure
Vikram died at the age of 77. He breathed his last at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune. He was hospitalized for 18 days before his death. The reason for his death was multi organ failure.

Seen in the role of Aishwarya Rai’s father
Vikram Gokhale played an important role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. In the film, he was seen in the role of Aishwarya Rai’s father. Apart from this, he also worked in films like Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Dil Se, Agneepath, De Dana Dan, Hichki, Nikamma, and Mission Mangal.

Was awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award
In 2011, Vikram Gokhale was honored with the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for his work in theatre. In 2013, he was also awarded the National Film Award for the Marathi film Aishma.
