FIR has been registered against South Industry superstar Nayanthara. An FIR has been registered against the actress in Jabalpur for hurting religious sentiments and promoting love jihad in the film 'Annapurni'. Hindu Seva Parishad has filed a complaint at Omati police station, stating that many scenes in the film are objectionable.

Indecent comments have also been made about Lord Shri Ram in the dialogues of the film. He also claims that the film 'Annapurni' is promoting love jihad. The state president of Hindu Seva Parishad has accused the film of hurting Hindus. Let us tell you, the film 'Annapurni' is Nayanthara's 75th film.

According to the FIR, Hindu Seva Parishad has objected to the following things:

  • In the last scene of the film, before making biryani, the temple priest's daughter is seen offering namaz wearing hijab.
  • The film is promoting love jihad. Actor's friend Farhan says that Lord Shri Ram was a non-vegetarian.
  • The actress's father is the head priest of a temple, but his daughter is shown cooking meat.
  • The film depicts the conversion of a Brahmin Hindu girl to Muslim religion. Our religious scriptures like Ramayana, Purana and other religious texts have also been insulted.
  • In the film, the actress does not go to the temple but to Farhan's house for Ramzan Iftar. In the film, the girl's father is performing Sandhya and grandmother is chanting the rosary. Meanwhile, showing the girl cooking meat – such scenes appear to be related to each other.

Let us tell you, due to these controversies the film has been removed from 'Netflix'.

Many scenes of the film are surrounded by controversies
Former Shiv Sena leader Ramesh Solanki filed a complaint in Mumbai on January 6 against the makers of the film 'Annapurni'. He alleged that the makers have hurt the sentiments of the Hindu community by insulting Lord Shri Ram.

Apart from the complaint, Ramesh Solanki had strongly criticized the film on social media platform X (earlier Twitter). He had written- I have filed a complaint against anti Hindu ji and anti Hindu Netflix. At a time when the whole world is celebrating the consecration of Lord Shri Ram Temple, this anti-Hindu film 'Annapurni' has been released on Netflix. Which has been produced by Zee Studio, Naad Studio and Trident Arts.

He further said – Netflix and Zee Studio have deliberately made this film to hurt Hindu sentiments. I request Mumbai Police, Maharashtra HMO to file a complaint against this film which hurts religious sentiments.

'Annapurni' was released on 1 December 2023. Nayanthara is in the lead role in the film. In the film, she played the role of Annapurni, the daughter of a temple priest, who cooks non-veg to fulfill her dream of becoming a chef.
