According to information received from sources, the 81-year-old actress was admitted to the hospital at 8 am on Sunday morning. He underwent surgery for two hours in the operation theater here.

Started acting at the age of 10
Asha started her acting career at the age of just 10. He worked as a child artist for the first time in the film 'Aasmaan' released in 1952. After this, he worked in Bimal Roy's film 'Baap Beti' (1954), but its failure disappointed him so much that he decided not to work in films.
Made a comeback in Bollywood at the age of 16
After this, Asha decided to return to films at the age of 16. She wanted to work in Vijay Bhatt's film 'Goonj Uthi Shehnai' (1959), but the director did not give her a chance saying that she was not star material. However, the very next day, producer Subodh Mukherjee and director Nasir Hussain signed him in their film 'Dil Deke Dekho' (1959).
Became a superstar overnight from 'Dil Deke Dekho'
Shammi Kapoor was in her opposite role in this film. The film proved to be a superhit and Asha became a Bollywood superstar overnight. After this film, Hussain gave Asha 6 more films 'Jab Pyar Kisi Se Hota Hai' (1961), 'Phir Wahi Dil Laaya Hoon' (1963), 'Teesri Manzil' (1966), 'Baharon Ke Sapne' (1967). , 'Pyaar Ka Mausam' (1969) and 'Caravan' (1971) and all were box office successes. Apart from this, Asha also gave superhit films like 'Kati Patang', 'Upkaar', 'Aan Milo Sajna' and 'Love in Tokyo' in her career.
Life Time Achievement and Padmashree Award: In her 40 years of career, Asha Parekh has worked in about 95 Bollywood films. She was last seen in the 1999 film 'Sar Aankhon Par'. Asha has been honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award 11 times. In 1992, he was honored with the country's prestigious honor Padmashree by the Government of India.
