Mithun Chakraborty discharged from hospital after treatment: Said- PM Modi scolded for not taking care of health

Veteran actor and BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty has been discharged from the hospital. He was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Kolkata on the morning of 10th February after complaining of chest pain.

On Monday, the 73-year-old actor spoke to the media after being discharged from the hospital. He told that he is absolutely fine now and can return to work soon. Mithun also told that he had to be scolded by PM Narendra Modi for his deteriorating health.

Mithun joined BJP in March 2021. During this program he also met PM Modi.

After coming out of the hospital on Monday, while talking to the media in Bengali, he said- 'I have no problem. I'm very fine. Now you just have to control your eating and drinking. I want to start work soon and can do it. Probably from yesterday itself.

Apart from this, Mithun told, 'PM Modi had called me on Sunday to know about my well-being. During this, he scolded me that I do not take care of my health. Mithun has now been discharged from the hospital and has reached his home in Kolkata.

Earlier on Monday, BJP Bengal State President Dr. Sukant Majumdar also reached the hospital to meet Mithun. Apart from him, BJP MP Dilip Ghosh also went to the hospital to meet Mithun. A video of this meeting also went viral on social media in which Mithun was seen sitting on the hospital bed. During this meeting, Dilip Ghosh also gave a rose flower to Mithun, seeing which Mithun laughed.

Mithun had a brain stroke
Earlier there were reports that Mithun had suffered a brain stroke. The hospital had given this information by issuing an official statement. The hospital had said that after initial investigation and brain MRI, it was found that he had suffered a brain stroke (ischemic cerebrovascular accident).

While talking to the media, Mithun's son Mahaakshay Chakraborty and daughter-in-law Madalsa had said that Mithun had gone to the hospital only for a regular checkup.

A video of Mithun from the hospital also went viral on social media. In this video, Mithun is seen lying on the hospital bed. Many people were standing around him.

Recently received Padma Bhushan Award
Recently, Mithun's name came into discussion again when it was announced last month that he would be honored with the Padma Bhushan award. Apart from Mithun, singer Usha Uthup and actor Vijaykant were also announced to be given this award.

Mithun's last release film is 'Kabuliwala'. It had completed 50 days in theatres.

Mithun's last time on the work front was the Bengali film 'Kabuliwala'. It was released in theaters in December 2023 and it remained in theaters for more than 50 days. Mithun's last Hindi film was 'The Kashmir Files'.
