Nawaz regrets working in the film Petta: Said- I made a mistake in taking fees for this, was seen with Rajnikanth

Nawazuddin Siddiqui was seen with Rajinikanth in the film Petta. This was the first Tamil film of Nawaz's career. In a recent interview, he has revealed that till today he regrets taking fees for this film.

Actually, all they had to do during the shooting was lip-sync. Nawaz believes that he has taken unnecessary fees for work for which he had no idea what he was doing.

Did nothing but lip-sync in Pettah

In an interview given to Galatta Plus, Nawaz shared the experience of working with Rajinikanth. He said- When I did Petta with Rajini sir, I felt embarrassed after finishing the shooting of the film. I felt like I was taking money for something I had no idea what I was doing.

I thought I had fooled them because I was there doing nothing but lip-sync. I didn't even understand many things there.

Felt that I have cheated the makers- Nawaz

He further said, 'I was not able to understand a lot of words but was still shooting. Even after this, if there is praise, I feel like hiding it. Then when we get money for such work, we are forced to think whether we are cheating the filmmakers or not.

Here's to me for the things I wasn't perfect at. I was not able to understand much during the shooting. Because of this I felt very embarrassed.

That's why I did everything by myself in the Telugu film Saindhava, which was released in January. Also did the dubbing of the dialogues myself. Also understood the meaning of each dialogue. By doing this I improved the old situation to some extent.

The action scenes of the film Petta were liked by the audience.

The film Petta was released in 2019. Rajinikanth and the action scenes in the film were very much liked. The film had to face criticism because of its writing. Made for Rs 160 crore, this film had collected around Rs 250 crore. Along with Nawaz and Rajinikanth, Vijay Sethupathi was also in the lead role in the film.

Saindhav flopped at the box office

The film Saindhaav is released in theaters on 13 January. Made for Rs 55 crore, this film has collected only Rs 19.48 crore at the box office. Venkatesh was also in the lead role along with Nawaz.
