According to the information, 32-year-old Sartaj, a resident of Bakandha village of Sadar Kotwali area, had come to Tameshwar temple area to work as a laborer from home. While roaming around drunk in the afternoon, he fell into a dry well near the temple.

On receiving the information, police reached the spot and also called the fire brigade to the spot. The fire brigade team reached the spot and started the rescue operation and after a lot of effort, pulled the young man out of the well. The injured youth was sent to the district hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. The youth told during interrogation that he had fallen into the well under the influence of alcohol due to family problems.
Information about fire brigade officer District Fire Officer Umesh Gautam said that at around 4 pm information was received that a young man had fallen into the well. As soon as the information was received, he reached the spot along with the team and lowered a worker into the well with the help of a rope and took out the injured youth. The young man has suffered serious injuries on his head. The family members have also been informed. This incident makes the society aware of the dangers of alcohol and drugs. A person may become mentally disturbed due to family problems, but resorting to drugs can further increase the problems.
