Gandhiji met people in the light of lanterns
While talking to Dainik Bhaskar, Umair Nadvi, Senior Research Fellow of Shibli Academy, says that a great person like Mahatma Gandhi had understood the meaning of coming into the world. Mahatma Gandhi did not keep anything for himself in sacrificing the freedom of the country. The man dressed in modest clothes and walking in Khadau shocked all the British. This shows that if work is done with honesty and courage in the interest of the country, then success will be achieved. When Mahatma Gandhi came to Azamgarh district, it was evening time and Namaz was being offered.
For this reason, Mahatma Gandhi appealed to everyone with a gesture to remain silent, after which everyone became silent and after the Namaz he met all the people. After this he was taken to the library. Gandhiji met the people in the light of lanterns and sat with the people of Azamgarh and made a strategy to liberate the country. Umair Nadvi tells that Mahatma Gandhi stayed in the guest house here and had to come to Azamgarh regularly.

Shibli Academy became the center of freedom movement
Umair Nadvi told that Shibli Academy had become the center of freedom movement at that time. Leaders like Motilal Nehru, Jawaharlal Nehru, Vinoba Bhave used to come and hold meetings here along with Mahatma Gandhi. The biggest reason for this was that messages were sent from Shibli Academy to the entire Purvanchal. This is the reason why meetings used to be held here regarding the independence of the country.

need to contemplate
Umair Nadvi says that today there is a need to question oneself. How would it be if Mahatma Gandhi were there today? Are Gandhiji’s thoughts needed today or not? This day comes so that we reflect on it. The shine of politics today. We are forgetting our pain and suffering in the glitter and glamor of the capitalists. Gandhiji had said that whatever you eat, eat it with freedom. If they are human beings then they should get their rights. Today there is a need to find the truth of Gandhiji which has been lost. Offering flowers will do nothing. Issues will be solved by considering Gandhiji as an ideal.
