A young man resident of Ghorahara New Basti Jamunia under Dubhar police station area of Ballia died after being struck by lightning. On receiving the information, Dubhar police reached the spot, took the body in their custody and after necessary proceedings sent it to the district hospital for postmortem.

Chandrabhan Yadav (32) son of late Ramdev Yadav, a resident of Ghorahara Naya Basti Jamunia under Dubhar police station area, was going from his house to the dairy in Uttar Pipra village to deliver milk at around 7 pm on Sunday evening. Meanwhile, lightning struck with a loud noise. Chandrabhan was burnt to death on the spot.
As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot, took the body in their custody and sent it for postmortem. On the other hand, the family members are crying inconsolably after the incident. Inspector in charge Rakesh Kumar Singh said that every possible help will be given to the victim’s family.
