A young man living in a village in the Maakhi police station area of Unnao left home on Wednesday morning and did not return till late evening. After that, his family members started looking for him. But they could not find him. On Thursday morning, his body was found in the forest about 2 km away from the village.

There are many injury marks on the body and the neck was found tied with a towel. The police, who arrived after getting information about the murder, took the body in their custody and sent it for postmortem. The dog squad and field unit team have inspected the spot.
According to the information, Ram Swaroop’s 40-year-old son Meva Lal alias Rajesh, a resident of Pandit Kheda village of the police station area, left home on Wednesday morning saying he had some work, but he did not return till late evening. The family started looking for Meva Lal. But nothing was found. They searched the village as well as the relatives’ houses but could not find any information.
Bike found parked in the forest 2 km away
On Thursday morning, his bike was found parked in the forest about 2 km away from the village. When the villagers saw the bike and headed towards the forest, they were shocked to see a body soaked in blood with the neck tied with a towel and injury marks on the body at several places. When the family members of the deceased were informed about the incident, there was chaos in the family.
Police is investigating several angles regarding the murder
On the other hand, on receiving the information about the murder, Maakhi police station in-charge Sandeep Mishra reached the spot with the police team and investigated. Along with this, the dog squad and field unit team have collected many evidences. The police has taken the body of the deceased into custody and sent it for postmortem. The police is investigating all the points related to the murder.
