Abhishek Bachchan Shares FIRST Review of Amitabh Bachchan’s Kalki 2898 AD Trailer: ‘Mind-blowing’ – News18

Kalki 2898 AD trailer receives a big thumbs up from Abhishek Bachchan.

Abhishek Bachchan has given a shout-out to the trailer of his actor-father Amitabh Bachchan’s upcoming film Kalki 2898 AD. Here’s what he wrote.

The tailer of Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani, has finally dropped after a very long wait. The internet went wild as soon as the trailer released online, with fans showering immense love and praise on their beloved stars. Amitabh’s actor-son, Abhishek Bachchan, also took to his Instagram account to share Kalki 2898 AD poster which had “trailer out” written on it.

Sharing the poster, Abhishek wrote, “Mind-blowing!” He also tagged the entire cast of the film on the post, alongside director Nag Ashwin. One user commented, “Loved it!” Another one said, “Looks good. Wishing your Pa all the best!”

The trailer showcases Ashwin’s loosely reimagined Mahabharat from a futuristic lens, adding a dystopian touch to it. It opens with fans learning about Kaashi, a distant land on top of a mountain that has all the amenities — food, water and shelter. People from far-off lands are struggling to make their way to the top, in the hope of getting aide from the King there, played by Saswata Chatterjee. With him being the only ruler, everyone has to bow down to him.

However, we slowly learn that there is a child in the making who could overturn his rulership and pave the way for a new Yug. The trailer then introduces us to Deepika Padukone. She is said to be carrying the child that is going to change the future. Presuming that the King of Kailash is aware of the threat, he sets a bounty on Deepika’s character. Prabhas plays Bhairava who is touted to be the most successful hunter.

In a recent interview with Deadline, Prabhas, revealed that Kalki 2898 AD is “made for international audiences.” He stated, “The whole film is made for international audiences. That’s why it’s the highest budget, and we’ve got the best actors in the country.” Discussing his title as a pan-Indian star, he added, “We were hearing for the first time people calling me ‘pan-Indian’. That doesn’t really affect me, but it’s a good feeling to think that people around the country like me now.”
