In Sultanpur on Wednesday, a Bolero hit a bike-riding youth on the service lane of Purvanchal Expressway. The villagers were taking him to the hospital when he died on the way. Angry villagers started protest by placing dead body on Badhwa link road of Bijhuri-Chamra.

Incident in service lane of Purvanchal Expressway Rajdev (38), son of Ram Kishore, resident of Parsa village of Jaisinghpur Kotwali area, had gone out on a bike for personal work on Wednesday. He had just reached the service lane of Purvanchal Expressway, a short distance from the village, when a Bolero coming from the service lane from Semri side crushed him.
The villagers ran and caught the Bolero driver and started taking the seriously injured Rajdev to the Medical College Sultanpur in a private vehicle. Rajdev died near Katka. The villagers reached the spot with the dead body of the youth.
Tehsildar pacified the angry villagers As soon as the information about the death was received, the villagers became angry and blocked the Badhwa link road of Bijuri-Chamra by placing the dead body. As soon as the information was received, Jaisinghpur Kotwal Anirudh Kumar Singh reached the spot and tried to convince the people. The villagers had been demanding to call the SDM to the spot. Jaisinghpur Tehsildar Mayank Mishra reached the spot and pacified the people.
Legal action is being taken in the matter Sub-Inspector Dilip Kumar has sent the panchnama of the dead body of the youth for postmortem. Kotwal Anirudh Kumar Singh said that the accused vehicle and driver have been detained. Legal action is being taken by sending the youth’s body for post-mortem.
