T20 World Cup 2024 Semi-final Race Afghanistan vs Bangladesh: Three teams have qualified for the T20 World Cup 2024 semi-finals and one spot is still up for grabs. There are as many as three claimants for the lone vacancy with Afghanistan, Bangladesh and former champions Australia hoping to join India, South Africa and England into the last-four stage. Among the three hopefuls, Afghanistan have the brightest chance having to just beat Bangladesh in their last Super 8 clash to qualify for their first ever world cup semi-final. On the other hand, Bangladesh have to not just win but ensure a big victory margin to pip Afghanistan and Australia. Mitchell Marsh and Co must pray that Bangladesh win but their victory margin isn’t significant enough to surpass their net run-rate.
Afghanistan have had a dream run so far in the competition. They defeated the likes of New Zealand and Australia and are now just a step away from creating more history.
