The world famous daily Ganga Aarti of Dashashwamedh Ghat returned to Raunak on Saturday evening. Aarti was signaled by the district administration on March 18 before the Janata curfew. The same Brahmin used to worship and aarti the mother Ganga. 249 days later seven archaks performed the Ganga Aarti as before.
Maa Ganga Aarti will be done under the guidelines of Kovid-19
President of Ganga Seva Nidhi and Aarti organizer Sushant Mishra told that arrangements have been made under the guidelines only. Two hundred people have been allowed by the administration to sit with social distancing. No one is allowed to see Aarti from the roof of the office.
Ganga Aarti was started in 1991 by Satyaendra Mishra, the head of the Ganga Seva Nidhi by an archak.
Aarti Sthal was sanitized. Devotees coming to the Aarti complex were seated at a reasonable distance. It is compulsory to sit in Mata Ganga’s daily Aarti by putting a mask on the Aarti site. All the devotees in the Aarti complex were requested to use masks.
Ganga Aarti has seen PM Narendra Modi and Japan’s PM Shinzo Abe together.
