Bollywood's Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan is in the headlines these days for the marriage of daughter Aira Khan. Aira is going to marry fitness trainer Nupur Shikhare on January 3. Aamir's family members will attend this wedding, for whom invitations have been sent. Aamir's family is one of the biggest families of Bollywood.

Many members of his family have been associated with the Hindi film industry for years. Aamir's father Tahir Hussain was one of the famous producers of Bollywood. Apart from this, Aamir's uncle was also a film producer and director.

Let's take a look at Aamir Khan's family and know interesting facts related to his family…

Aamir is a descendant of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad

Aamir belongs to the family of freedom fighter Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. He is Aamir's great grand uncle. Aamir's grandmother was the niece of Maulana Azad. Azad was the first education minister of independent India. Aamir's father Tahir Hussain is a relative of former President Zakir Hussain. Actually, Zakir Hussain was the second among seven brothers. One of them is Aamir Khan, a descendant of his brother's family.

Like Zakir Hussain, Aamir Khan's ancestors are also residents of Kaimganj, Farrukhabad in UP. After Hussain's birth, his family came from Hyderabad and settled here. Both of them come from Pashtun family of Afridi tribe. Not only this, politician Najma Heptulla is Aamir's second cousin. She seems to be the granddaughter of Maulana Azad.

Aamir's ancestral village is in Hardoi

Aamir Khan's ancestral village is in Shahabad town, 40 kilometers away from Hardoi. Here in Akhtiyapur is Aamir's ancestral house which is now almost in ruins.

Aamir's grandfather Zafar Hussain Khan's three sons, Bakar Hussain Khan, Nasir Hussain Khan and Tahir Hussain Khan, lived together in the ancestral house in Shahabad town, located 40 km from the ancestral village Hardoi.

Nasir Hussain moved to Mumbai in the 50s and became a successful producer-director. Before this, Nasir Hussain was also the secretary of Shahabad Municipality for a long time. After leaving from here, he called Tahir Hussain to him.

Aamir and Faizal were born there, since then their connection with Hardoi was broken. Aamir never went there, but in 2011 he had said in an interview that he would never let the ancestral house be sold, hence he had bought the entire ancestral land.

Now let us look at some of the famous members of the Khan family, from generation to generation…

first generation

Nasir Hussain: Nasir Hussain was the first person in this family who thought of making a place in the film world. Aamir himself had shared the story of uncle Nasir's entry into films in an interview in 2014. He had said, Nasir Sahab had told me that when he completed his college studies, he had decided that he would do script writing work in the film industry.

Before him, none of the family had anything to do with films, so when he expressed this desire, the entire family was against it. When Nasir Saheb couldn't think of anything, he met Maulana Abul Kalam Azad and told him what was in his heart.

Azad said, 'If this is what you want to do, then don't listen to anyone, do whatever your heart tells you'. After this, Nasir remained firm on his decision. Aamir had said that if Maulana Azad had not encouraged Nasir Sahab, he would never have been able to enter the film world, nor would his father Tahir Hussain have come into films.

Talking about Nasir Hussain, after the advice of Maulana Azad, he started working as a freelancer in Filmistan Studio. He made his writing debut with the hit film 'Anarkali' in 1953. After this Nasir started his own production house named 'Nasir Hussain Films'. Within no time, Nasir became a well-known writer, producer and director of the Hindi film industry.

Asha Parekh had said in an interview, “Yes, Nasir Sahab was the only man I loved. I never wanted to be a home breaker. There was never any rift between me and Nasir Sahab's family. I never wanted to separate Hussain from his family and due to this fear I did not marry. Nasir Hussain died of a heart attack on 13 March 2002.

Some films were made in 8 years and some in 3 years.”

Describing his father's financial crisis, Aamir had said, “He was deeply in debt. I have seen my father struggling with extreme financial crisis. We were bankrupt and almost on the streets. At that time My school fees used to be Rs 6 in class 6, Rs 7 in class 7 and Rs 8 in class 8.

Father was always late in depositing the fees of our brothers and sisters. After one or two warnings, the principal would announce his name in the assembly in front of all the school children. Aamir became very emotional while telling this.
