SP national president Akhilesh Yadav with his supporters.
- The Mughal Museum started in Agra at the time of SP will be known as National Integration and multi-religious common heritage when SP comes to government.
In Lucknow, in September, CM Yogi changed the name of the Mughal Museum being built in Agra to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Three months after the name change, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav visited the museum under construction. He then posted a post on social media. Akhilesh Yadav has written that the Mughal Museum started during the SP in Agra will be known as National Integration and multi-religious common heritage when the SP government comes. In the coming time, the SP will install the statue of Maharaj Agrasen, Rajmata Jijabai, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Shaheed Bhagat Singh. In the political corridors, all the meanings of this tweet are being extracted.

SP is moving towards social engineering
Senior journalist Ratanmani Lal says that the Samajwadi Party has been maintaining its political status over the M-Y (Muslim-Yadav) equation for the last several years. But ever since the BJP has strengthened its presence in the OBCs and upper castes, the Samajwadi Party has started feeling that there may not be any work that Yadav or other communities associated with SP should not think that SP is a Muslim-dominated party. This is the reason. Look at the last two-three years, sometimes he talks about putting an idol of Krishna and sometimes he promises to install an idol of Parashurama.
Senior Journalist said that all this is indicating to maintain its affiliation with majority. Since Agra, Mathura, Etawah has been a socialist stronghold and the way the BJP has increased its influence in Mathura and Brij region, it is very important for the SP to maintain its lead. That is why he is talking about installing a statue of Maharaja Agrasen, Rajmata Jijabai, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Shaheed Bhagat Singh. This is just a message to the SP’s majority that we are not only following the MY equation, we also care about you.
Ratanmani Lal says that political parties take steps very thoughtfully. He must have seen before that if we propose to change the name of the museum, then we will get support. But feedback would have been received that there would not be support.
Now SP will not raise the issue of renaming Mughal Museum
Senior Journalist Sameeratmaj Mishra says that whenever the Samajwadi Party comes to power, it will not change anyone’s name. Even though changing the name of Allahabad has created resentment among the people, but that name is now accepted by the people. At the same time, the Samajwadi Party would not like to annoy the majority.
We do not mind the name change or not: Zafaryab Jilani
At the same time, Zafaryab Jilani, member of All India Muslim Personal Law Board, says that our country belongs to Ganga Jamuni Tehzeeb. Now whether the name of the museum is Mughal or Chhatrapati Shivaji, what difference does it make. Zafaryab Jilani says that our thinking has never been such that we change the name. If SP President Akhilesh Yadav has not announced to change the name then it is a much better decision.
