In Azamgarh, UP, on Tuesday, the market appeared completely closed after the mistreatment of a businessman with a mask. During this time, a large number of police were deployed on the roads.
A case of assault on a bullion trader by police has surfaced in Uttar Pradesh’s Azamgarh on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the police came down to follow the Corona rules and entered the shop along with the businessman and misbehaved. On Wednesday, traders resentful of the act of SDM Sadar and CO City, which had misbehaved with the traders, closed their respective establishments and protested. The entire market remained closed except a few shops in the city area. There was a ruckus on the streets but the locks were hanging on the establishments.
The traders say that the government will be given the answer to the harassment happening with the traders during the BJP’s rule, even when the time comes. The government has the responsibility to handle the autocratic administration. On Tuesday, the police suddenly attacked the businessmen encircling the city Kotwali. People from social organizations and political parties, who were trying to reach a reconciliation agreement, were also not spared. The lathicharge done by the police brought back memories of the British rule.
An atmosphere of silence in the ruling camp
At the same time, the people of the ruling party kept silence in protest against this incident. In such an environment, the result of the silence of the BJP leaders will tell the time to come. The district headquarters witnessed the scene of unprecedented bandh in protest against administrative persecution. Small shopkeepers were seen on the pavement of the streets but the customers were absent. The market remained completely closed in protest against the incident in Sidhari town adjoining the city. At the same time, this disgusting action of the administration was seen in the rural areas as well. Even in rural areas, people were seen protesting against the action taken by the traders on their own level on Tuesday.
What is the matter
According to the information, on Tuesday morning, SDM Sadar Gaurav Kumar and CO City Rajesh Tiwari were doing masks and social distancing checks at the Chowk along with the Kotwali police. Meanwhile, the officers along with the policemen reached the shop of Ashish Goyal, a bullion businessman of Asifganj locality in Old Kotwali. There was a question-and-answer between Ashish Goyal and the officials about the mask. Meanwhile, at the behest of the officers, the policemen brought Ashish out of his shop beating him.
Policemen, like criminals shouting and beating Ashish, took him to the police station. Shopkeepers gathered nearby as soon as the information was received. Angered by this behavior of policemen, businessmen closed the bullion market. A large number of traders reached Kotwali in a short time.
